Mike CorsoMike Corso
Managing Broker

flagshipyachts1@comcast.net

With over twenty-two years in the hospitality industry developing some of the most successful restaurants and entertainment centers in the United States and Caribbean, Mike purchased his first boat in 1993.  He eventually figured out that he could be on the water and working at the same time and in 1996, he sold his company and became a Yacht Broker.  Experienced in both power and sail up to 70', he has lived aboard and has experienced Gulf crossings to Key West and Isla Mujeras Mexico.

He learned at a very young age that outstanding service is what keeps clients coming back, and in the yacht brokerage industry, return clients and referrals is the reward for a job well done.  He believes it is not the years of experience one has, but it is the quality of experience that makes a difference.  He is totally dedicated to his clients and continues to provide a level of service they have come to expect, which is why when it is time for them to sell or move up to a larger boat, his clients bring their boats back to him.

With thirty years experience sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, Joyce relocated to the Houston area with her husband, Gary.  She began her sailing experience in 1977 with a first date on a day sail out of Annapolis on a Cheoy Lee 33 and was hooked...not by the date, but by sailing and immediately purchased her first sailboat!  Several boats later, and a new husband who promised to eventually live aboard and cruise the world, they have enjoyed sailing from one end of the Chesapeake Bay to the Atlantic Ocean on their 44' sailboat.  During Joyce's sailing adventures over the years, she sailed a 65' ketch through the Caribbean Islands and in the San Francisco Bay.  During those years, she brought together many Buyers and Sellers of boats, both power and sail, and is now exploring Galveston Bay and the Gulf waters.

In 2005, upon completion of her professional career in investigations and intelligence, she pursued professional yacht brokering.  Her years of corporate leadership and Federal service in a profession requiring honesty and integrity has given her exemplary skills which enable her to serve her clients well.  Learning how to manage boating adventures and experiencing the joy of perseverance has brought her to a new and challenging career as a Yacht Broker with Flagship Yachts of Texas, LLC.  She eagerly looks forward to serving previous, current, and future clients. Jerry Arnold

jarnold@flagshipyachtsoftexas.com

Jerry began boating in 1973 with a 13’ Boston Whaler, which he used for serious fishing and duck hunting. He loved the Whaler, but after two years of wading in hip high water and knee deep marsh mud carrying a shotgun and 30 lb decoys, he graduated to an airboat with enough power to run on dry ground! …….Then he discovered offshore fishing. The experience was so exhilarating, he describes it as “beyond his experience of hunting in Africa in 1975”. He began reading every book he could find on billfish and offshore fishing. He bought a Seacraft Master Angler and trolled the Continental Shelf.

He fished tournaments up and down the Texas coast until his wife brought to his attention that owning three boats and his weekend fishing distracted from “family life”. She then gleefully announced “the children and I would like to learn to sail”. Sine he was out numbered, they all attended sailing school. With the purchase of their first sailboat, he and his son began racing her on Galveston Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Jerry’s love of the water and boating led him into the boating industry as a Yacht Broker. During the 1980’s, Jerry was a Dealer for Bristol, Comar, Express, Pearson, Trentella, Post, and Viking. He left the boating industry for real estate during the implementation of the luxury tax era and several years ago rejoined the Yacht Brokerage community. Stop in and meet Jerry; his vast knowledge of sailboats and saltwater fishing boats will be of great value while seeking your special boat.

Phillip Moyer

Phil started boating on home-made rafts as a 10 year old on creeks and rivers of Kansas. His next boating step was a move to runabouts for water skiing and boat camping still on rivers and lakes. Sailing began on an 18' daysailor progressing to cabin craft for weekending and offshore daysailing. For thirteen years, Phil lived aboard a 36' Comar racer-cruiser sailboat and sailed extensively in and around the Gulf of Mexico, living both in the Corpus Christi and Houston areas during that time.

Power boats caught his interest in the mid-nineties. Phil has lived aboard powerboats for a total of 5 years and continues to live part of each year on his 41' President sundeck trawler. His first powerboat was a 41' classic Hatteras motoryacht; however, he later decided on a trawler to fit his growing interest in completing the America 's Great Loop. Phil and his wife Virginia have completed at least half of the Great Loop and the boat is currently in heated storage in Brewerton, NY. They will resume their voyage around the Great Loop in May 08. Virginia is relatively new to big boating and big bodies of water, but she is really enjoying the new experiences.
